The clinic began under the direction of Marcia's late father, Dr. Robert Fosnaugh, M.D., Dermatologist, Plastic Surgeon and Chemist over 40 years ago. Dr. Fosnaugh was well known and respected for his innovative work with cosmeceuticals and surgical procedures. His years of research, and innovation in skin care and cosmetic surgical procedures are still studied and practiced within the medical community worldwide. He developed precursors to Retin A for the skin, and was one of the first physicians to successfully perform "hair transplants" on the scalp.

Marcia Fosnaugh Avis and Dr. Robert Fosnaugh developed The CLINAGE Advanced Clinical Skin Care line. Marcia is the founder of CLINAGE Skin Care Systems.
